Justin Bieber has once again embraced the role of an honorary uncle! His dear friends, Lauren Kennedy and Jason Kennedy, have recently welcomed their second child. Bieber introduced his new niece to the world with a heartfelt post, “Say hello to my niece, Poppy Ford Kennedy,” he wrote, sharing a series of photos where he’s seen tenderly holding the newborn.
The bond between Bieber and the Kennedy couple appears to be unshakeable. He acknowledged their journey towards parenthood in his post, “Anyone who knows @thejasonkennedy and @thelaurenkennedy is aware of their journey and the hurdles they’ve faced in having children,” he penned, adding, “They now have two beautiful babies that I’m completely smitten with.”
The 29-year-old pop sensation first donned the title of honorary uncle in April 2022 when the Kennedys welcomed their first child, Ryver. “LOVE YOU RYVER 4 LIFE I WILL PROTECT YOU!” he declared, sharing photos of the infant.
While Bieber has three younger sisters and a brother, it might be a while before any of them bestow upon him the title of an uncle by blood.
As for Bieber’s own plans of fatherhood, he seems quite at ease with babies. He has previously expressed his desire to have children. In a 2020 interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bieber revealed his aspiration to have a “little tribe” and was ready to have “as many as Hailey is willing to push out.” “I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few,” he shared.
Earlier this year, his wife Hailey opened up about the topic in an interview with The Sunday Times, admitting that she often thinks about having children. “I want kids so bad, but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child,” she expressed.
