Julia Fox is stirring the pot with fresh revelations about Kanye West, following the release of her memoir, ‘Down the Drain.’ The multi-talented artist and author recently had a heart-to-heart with Drew Barrymore on her show, where she candidly discussed her whirlwind romance with West, characterizing it as overwhelming.
The Fox-West liaison grabbed headlines in January 2022, shortly after West’s marriage to Kim Kardashian hit the rocks. However, the relationship proved too intense for Fox, who had just celebrated the birth of her first son, Valentino, in January 2021.
The star of ‘Uncut Gems’ also shed light on the ‘Gold Digger’ singer’s penchant for phone calls. “I had my son, and then Kanye would want to chat on the phone incessantly. I’d be in the middle of changing diapers, so I invested in a pair of AirPods to keep the conversation going while juggling mom duties. It was just so overwhelming and unsustainable,” the 33-year-old elaborated. “I quickly realized it wasn’t going to be sustainable because I can’t put anyone else first.”
In her memoir, Fox discloses that Ye had a say in her wardrobe choices. She narrated an incident at Carbone, where he summoned one of her stylists in the middle of dinner because he disapproved of her outfit, as reported by Vulture.
This anecdote is particularly intriguing considering his “wife” Bianca Censori. The stylists in question were her friends, Tammy and Liana, who continued to work with Ye and even styled his subsequent girlfriend. This led to Fox severing ties with them, stating, “I can’t accept that my friend of ten years would choose him over me… for clout.”
As for who this next girlfriend was, post-Fox and pre-Censori, the rapper had a fleeting relationship with Chaney Jones.
West has maintained radio silence regarding all the juicy details Fox has been serving. According to her, he hasn’t made any attempts to reach out. On the October 15 episode of ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,’ Fox shook her head and responded with a firm “No” when a fan inquired if the 46-year-old, or his team, had contacted her about the book.
