Ivanka Trump, along with her husband Jared Kushner and their trio of children— Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore—are enjoying the company of an extra family member in their Florida residence. The former first daughter recently disclosed that her grandmother, Marie Zelníčková, has been sharing their Miami home for the past few years. This revelation came as part of a post celebrating her “Grandma Babi’s” 97th birthday.
Ivanka, the 41-year-old daughter of former President Donald Trump, expressed her gratitude for having her grandmother around, saying, “We’re so fortunate to have Babi with us in Miami these past few years. I’m grateful for every lesson, every tale, and every game night where she still trounces us all at Jenga! It’s the simple moments together that define the richness of life. I treasure every second! 🥰.”
In her post, Ivanka included photos of herself with her “Babi,” as well as snapshots of the entire family, featuring a heartwarming image of the three Kushner children planting a kiss on their great-grandmother. Marie is the maternal grandmother of the Women Who Work author. Marie’s daughter, Ivana Trump—Ivanka’s mother—sadly passed away at the age of 73 last year (source).
Since her father’s departure from office in 2021, Ivanka and her family have been residing in Florida. Despite serving as an advisor to her father during his presidency, Ivanka, whose father is reportedly running for president again, has stated that she has no future plans to be “involved in politics.”
“I have a deep love for my father. However, this time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family,” she shared with Fox News Digital in 2022. “I do not plan to be involved in politics.”
She added, “While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments.”
Ivanka confessed that she is “loving life in Miami and the freedom and privacy with having returned to the private sector. This has been one of the greatest times of my life.” The mother of three further added, “My kids are thriving, and I want to maintain this cadence — this rhythm — at this point in our family’s life.”
