Will Reeve, the youngest son of the legendary Christopher Reeve, has recently been in the spotlight due to his striking resemblance to his late father. Christopher Reeve, renowned for his iconic role as Superman in the 1978 film and its three sequels, left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. His legacy of resilience and advocacy, especially after a horse-riding accident in 1995 left him paralyzed, continues through his children. Will, in particular, is making waves as a successful reporter and advocate for spinal cord injury research. So, who exactly is this handsome 31-year-old? Here are 8 things you should know about him.

  1. Will’s mother was Dana Reeve, a talented American actress, singer, and activist, who tragically passed away from lung cancer on March 6, 2006, at the age of 44. Dana’s dedication to her husband’s care and her advocacy for those with paralysis continues to inspire many.

  2. Will has two half-siblings, Matthew and Alexandra Reeve, from his father’s first marriage to Gae Exton. The siblings share a close bond, and Will proudly embraces his role as an uncle. Alexandra named her son Christopher, after their father, in June 2015.

  3. Will’s girlfriend is Amanda Dubin, an event planner, designer, and producer at Victoria Dubin Events. The couple recently turned heads at the Bring Change To Mind Gala in New York City.

  4. After the loss of both his parents, a neighbor and family friend took Will in, allowing him to complete his high school education. Will was only two years old when his father was paralyzed in 1995, and 11 when he passed away in 2004. His mother, Dana, passed away less than two years later.

  5. Will has a few acting credits to his name. He starred in the 1997 TV movie In the Gloaming, which featured Glenn Close and was directed by his father. He also had a small role in The Brooke Ellison Story, another TV film directed by Christopher.

  6. Will graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont in 2014 with a BA in English and American Literature. He began his broadcasting career at ESPN, hosting SportsCenter in 2015. In 2018, he joined ABC News, where he now reports for various platforms and shows, including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Nightline,” “ABC News Live,” and ABC News Radio.

  7. Since June 2013, Will has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. This charitable organization is committed to finding treatments and cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders.

  8. Will is an avid runner and enjoys participating in marathons and triathlons. His love for sports is a bond he shared with his father, who would often attend his hockey games. As an adult, he continues to stay active and embrace the spirit of competition.
